Just put the Lower parts I got from RRA in the Mega GTR-3H lower I ordered. Smooth as silk and it took me a whole of three minuets to do. Only thing that wasn't perfect was the bolt catch seems to stick when it goes from the "locked" to "released" position; sticking is the "released" position and is hanging up when an empty magazine is inserted or the bottom of the catch is pushed. I've never experienced this on any of the several ARs I've built or any of them that I've ever owned.
Seems like the bottom edge of the "bulk" of the bolt catch (flat part that inserts into the lower receiver) is too wide for the slot in the receiver...almost like the slot in the receiver tapers as it gets deeper.....but the wasn't sure if I should go and "thin" the bolt catch to keep it from sticking

If it's got the threaded pin, back it out.
1) Check the pin to catch fitment
2) If you can see where it's rubbing on the latch body, hit it lightly with a file or stone.
Dry fit and check function using a punch, drill bit shank or nail in place of the pin.
If it's got a roll pin (don't think it does) try tapping the pin from the opposite direction that it was driven.
I had the same issue with a Rainier Arms lower (pretty sure they are re-branded Mega lowers) and an RRA bolt catch. Stupidly, I took a dremel to the lower and removed a small amount of material from the channel until it fit. However, I trust Mega to be in spec a lot more than I do RRA so I'm guessing the bolt catch is the culprit. I asked this question on another forum and someone measured one from DD and said it was 3.78mm thick. If you have a micrometer, check and see if the RRA bolt catch is thicker or take it by a gun shop with a gunsmith and ask him to measure it with his micrometer for you. If so, I'd just toss it and buy one from someone like DD, LMT or Colt.
I do have a micro meter. Thanks I'll check that. probably just "thin" the bolt catch itself and refinish it....not going to do anything to a matched set of Mega Billet

I've never had a problem with anything from RRA before in the last eight years of building. Luck of the draw I guess, since small parts like bolt catches are mass produced by the millions and sold to different vendors in various grades. I'd have about the same chances getting one else where. Thank you for posting that bolt catch width...I'll check it when I get home.
I don't drink the Colt juice

it tastes awful

Do you have this problem with the lower minus the upper? If that is the case, try cocking the hammer and testing it that way before you disassemble anything. This is normal for a bare lower...
