I'd like some nice flip up sights. I plan to use them a while as the only sighting system for a while until I save up some more and decide on an optic.
I don't particularly need back up sights, but I would prefer flip up sights.
I'm looking at Yankee Hill Machine, Midwest Industries and Troy sights. If the Magpul MBUIS can be just as good then I would gladly consider them.
I am leaning toward Yankee Hill and Midwest Industries due to the price of the Troy sights, but if the Troy are leaps and bounds better I would invest in them. If I am going to be spending $200+ on Iron sites though, I figure I might as well skip them and get a Vortex Sparc
by Stickman along with some of his excellent photography...
BUIS Guide
I have Troy, but for value you're on track with the new MI ot YHM
Not a fan of the plastic sights.
Yankee hill are nice and solid. I've run a set for 6.years on my tacticool go-to m4gry. That said, the best DEAL in buis land is the matech. You can usually find surplus, new units for 30 or so. They are adjustable for range and windage and are high enough quality to be issued by the army. I have no complaints about my matech either.
