Stripped Lower Finally!

Finally got a stripped lower for my first build. Its a Spike's punisher model. I lucked up and got it from AIM last week. Now I want to start looking into LPK's. I have my eye on a PSA MOE kit but I know that there are several other quality kits out there. Are there any kits I need to stay away from....? I'm mainly looking at staying away from kits with bad triggers. How is PSA's triggers? Spikes?

I got one a few months back its wasn't bad. I polished fire control group with felt worked great. For the price it was a good deal.

It arrived at my FFL this afternoon. Its slightly out of town but I am going to try to run over there tomorrow during my lunch. I hope to have pictures up tomorrow night.

Picked up my receiver from my dealer today. As a first impression, the quality is great. The finish is uniform with no visible flaws. Machining looks good...no burs. The roll mark is crisp and clean.

I would have rather have gotten a Calico Jack, but beggers can't be choosers...

On to a LPK purchase!

Don't know what I did, but you're welcome. This is going to be my first build. I'm keeping it simple but with quality parts...Magpul MOE furniture in ODG. I probably will get a complete upper this build. On my second build, I hope to peice together an upper.

That's pretty much what I'm gonna do. I got a few lowers back around when Obama got elected and theyve been sitting on a shelf ever since. Think I'm gonna put one together...and get a upper from Rock River.

These are Doublestars and I got them for about $75 a piece.

I also want to put together a 9mm AR pistol and then go the SBR route at a later date.

What I'm thinking of is a DDLES dedicated lower for 9mm and a upper from an undecided source.

Another thing...I think it'd be cool if on that model lower (Punisher) on the selector markings they put down "SAFE....PUNISH"

For my current build I purchased the PSA LPK. I couldn't believe how good the trigger felt. Soooooooo, I ordered another LPK for my older (12+) bushmaster thinking I could improve the trigger. Nope. It felt like it was full of rocks. I think that it's a crap shoot if you get a good one or not. I replaced the original bushy parts except for the worn sear and all is good with the world.
