 A2 buttstock color...

I received my A2 buttstock assembly today from White Oak. I was surprised to find that it was gray, not black. I'd definitely prefer a black stock, so if anybody can point me toward one, I'd appreciate it.

I'm assuming, of course, that I can actually return the gray unit to WOA...

Rub that gray stock down liberally with CLP and let it sit overnight. Tomorrow it will be black.

yup, the "real" A2's from what I've experienced were gray when perfectly new/dry

Most of mine have been gray... Model 1 sales or M & A parts sell jet black stock bodies.

ArmaLite sells smooth black A2 stocks. On my grainy, grey A2 stock, I liberally applied Rem-Oil to it about every other day for a little over a month or so. It finally took on a nice black color.
