Thread Bolt Catch & Forward Assist Roll Pin

Two questions for the experienced AR builders here.

1) I saw Rusty_Shackleford's AR15Chatterbox lower build and I would like a threaded bolt catch roll pin for my lower as well. I was able to track down some of the threaded roll pins (pictured below) but I am a little concerned about cutting threads into my forged lower receiver. Do guys think it will be ok, strength-wise to cut threads into the bolt catch part?

2) What are the dimensions of the forward assist roll pin? I would like to use this threaded roll pin as well for that part so that I do not have any roll pins what so ever on my ar. It seems the bolt catch pin and the forward assist pin share part numbers, but I read that the dimensions are not the same. Can someone measure their forward assist roll pin dimensions please? Diameter and length.

Thanks guys.

Thank you for the measurement.

Can't seem to find the arfcom thread for it but just google "threaded roll pin replacement" and you will find a bunch of threads. He posted his build all over the place.

Update: I just spoke with Mega Machines and the guy didn't recommend tapping the bolt catch to install these pins because it may weaken the lower receiver. I opted not to do this mod and just banged in a roll pin.
