Streamlight Super Tac Rail Mounts
Alright crew, got a new topic I need some assistance with. I have a Streamlight Super Tac that I think would be a very nice accessory to add on my AR. My problems are as follows. Need a handguard I can put a rail on (as much as I hate it I might be going back to the MagPul MOE), next in line I need a 1913 Picatinny rail mount for the light its self, and also would like to know if there are any pressure switches etc. etc. that are avaliable for this light as well.
What rail/handguard do you currently have?
M4 double heat shield, and single heat shield CAR handguards. No rails on them as of yet.

No input at all? C'mon guys!
Guess I'll be going with a 1" low pro weaver scope ring and a little rubber around the light to tighten the fit up (cheap way out) or either the Streamlight factory light mount...

Will do, gonna mount it on my M4 handguards with an IWC light mount. Should turn out nice.

Not too late, I haven't had a chance to order a mount yet. The ole truck payment slowed me down on the AR extras

It uses the same clamp as American Defense which I have found to be very sturdy and easy to use. The streamlight mount just seems a little goofy in comparison.

Yeah, I'm not a big fan of how awkward the Streamlight mount looks. I'd rather take the pocket clip off the light and just put a low pro scope ring on it than use their mount.... Actually I might do that anyways as cash is short and light mounts can get rediculously expensive.
I have the streamlight mount for my Super Tac X, I think it looks fine and works really well (nice to be able to remove the light to use as a handheld so easily). Price is the only downside.

Does seem to be the most efficent mounting option, but it's just the cost that's turning me away from it..... might just have to break down and buy it anyways.... If you don't mind me asking what did you give for that mount?
I think it was $45 off of Amazon, that was the cheapest I could find. I had gift cards to pay for the light, so I figured a would drop the coin to get the mount made for it. I thought about just rigging a 1" mount with some rubber, but I really wanted to be able to take it off quickly. The mount locks the light in solid and with a turn of the knob releases it to be used as a handheld.
Hmm, well I got my light with a gift card as well haha. $80 or so at Bass Pro Shops. I guess it wouldn't kill me to drop the cash on a decent mount for it. I'll have to surf Amazon and see what I can find or possibly the EE section here.
Originally I was gonna go with the IWC standard handguard mount but I'm ordering a cheap rail system to test out so I might just be putting it on that way.
