I think Newarguy's Surefire lights are worth more than my car. how about a review or explanation of some of these lights?
That's quite the collection...

Gotta ask though why so many lights???
I've been thinking of buying those led Mag lights for around the house usage. Are they worth the money?
To answer your question.
I posted this on CPF a while back. This is just what I have out at the moment. There's more.

I've got about 4 Surefires including a 6P that I've EDC'd for about 15 years, and a few fenix lights too.
I'd have more, but I'm poor for now.
-Mark.

Honestly, it would take pages to review all of them.
Go check out CandlePowerForum - I started looking there about 2 years ago - to find a light to mount on a carbine. I got hooked then. I kept seeing another, and another and another I wanted...
Here is the link to the LED section:
http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/forumdisplay.php?45-LED-Flashlights
I spent hours reading reviews before I bought my first really NICE LED light - an Eagletac P20C2 MK II. I then went from there. The Eagletac lights are my favorite brand. What is REALLY nice is that the P20C2 MK II and T20C2 MK II series have upgradable LED modules. As new technology comes out - instead of buying an entirely new light - buy just the inside module for $26.99 or $28.99 - nd you have a new light :) (instead of buying a new one for $70-$90)
I use the T100C2 MK II as my nightstand light. The P20 and T20 lights, along with my Lumapower Trust 2 are my 3 carry lights that I interchange for carry use....
The TK70 is tied with the $400+ Olight SR90 in brightest lumens from an LED light. But, the TK70 has more flood and throw, and is 1/2 the price. I finally broke down and got it last month. DAMN impressive!
I really collect them because they are mostly inexpensive (compared to guns) and it is easy to just pick one up here and there :)
JUST my Eagletacs (my favorite brand of light):
- T100C2 MK II
- T20C2 Mk II
- P20C2 MK II
- D25C Ti Mini Titanium
- M2XC4
- T20C2 MK II mounted on the carbine

I have a Surefire and a Fenix then I have at least 10 Maglites of various sizes kicking around my house or cars. Maglites come up on clearance all the time at Lowe's and I have gotten the AA LED models for less than $10 AND THE 2-3 D LEDs for like $10-$15 so every time I see that I grab a couple because even if they are not a high quality tac light it still does not hurt to have a bunch of them around.
Avoid the custom and modder lights section of CPF shipwreck.
I'm tempted to send my LX2 in for a milkyspit conversion.
As far as my own collection, I have a half dozen good surefires and a smattering of innova, fenix, and 4sevents. Nothing crazy, and nothing more expensive than a X300 or LX2.
I got into lights years ago to satisfy my collecting bug and stop spending so much $ on guns. Well I found CPF and pretty soon my lights were more expensive than guns. I'm off lights and back with firearms....it's cheaper!

Hahaha
I think I seem to have an addictive personality, when it comes to hobbies.
I've been buying quite a few hockey jerseys lately, for my other addiction - watching NHL hockey :)
About 25 Surefire handhelds and 5 weaponlights, a few Fenix and NightCores.
My name is M4-guy and I'm a flashaholic...
I've actually slowed down and thinned the herd slightly.

I sold a couple of Inovas and some other lights about a year ago... Some that I bought when i didn't know enough... before I learned what were the better and brighter lights
Flashoholic here too.
I've got right now (and unfortunately the list isn't going to get shorter):
16 Surefire handhelds
5 Surefire weaponlights (2 on pistols, 2 on ARs, 1 on shotgun)
4 Malkoff MD2s w/ various Malkoff drop-ins
1 Malkoff Wildcat
1 Maglite with Malkoff drop-in
1 Maglite with Mac's Custom SST-50
1 Mac's Custom EDC-50
1 Novatac upgraded with XM-L emitter
3 HDS Systems Clickies
1 Nitecore D10 Tribute
1 35W HID spotlight
I am an adict...trying to stay away from guns because I am addicted to those also! Now the flashlight addiction has taken hold of me and I have purchased 8 in the less than 2 months...I NEED HELP!
I used some Amazon credit card points and ordered a new light this morning :) :) (yes, ANOTHER one)
I've never owned a Jetbeam before, so this will be my first - a Jetbeam BC40.
http://www.jet-beam.com/links/pro/bc40.aspx
It states it puts out 830 lumens. In the candle power forum tests of the light, the output seems pretty close to this in the real world. For $69, it is a good deal.
I considered buying the Eagletac G25C2... Their newest light. Lumens are close, but its $109 for the base 2 cell model, and my favorite vendor doesn't sell on Amazon (so, I can't use my credit card points)
And, the reflector on the G25C2 is just big enough on that one to be almost too big for pocket carry, despite being a 2 cell light (without the extender). So, I wouldn't be carrying it anyway...
This Jetbeam will put out a tiny bit more, and will have a larger reflector head, so output
should be a little better.
My daily carry light is my Eagletac T20C2 MK II, so anything I buy now is just to play around with anyway.
For the money, this should be a good light from a name brand :) (and for the money, it's free for me with those points)
Not quite addicted, but I have way more than your average person...
Fenix LD20
Inova X2
A few ultrafires/trustfires that I loan out
4Sevens Quark AA^2 Tactical NW
Nitecore D10 with the old ramping UI
4Sevens Maelstrom X7 on my rifle
Maratac AAA
My collection pales in comparison.

I agree but I added one to my Amazon wish list in case any one wants to buy it for me....
My favorite dealer isn't on amazon, unfortunately. So, I can't use my amazon credit card's points with him...
Nice Lummi! I think some day I will own one of those.

Candlepowerforums has cost me a small fortune! Fivemega seems to make lights that I have to have.
My latest purchase is the Nitecore TM-11 Tiny Monster. The worlds smallest 2000 lumen flashlight. Now I'm looking into a close copy. The Dry 3 XML, uses 3 Cree XML leds. On direct drive it pushes close to 3000 lumens.
Yes, I saw that tiny 2000 lumen light. I considered getting one, but with my tk70 already, I decided to pass. However, it is very cool!
Got my Jetbeam BC40 in yesterday :)
830 lumens on high, 130 lumens on low :)
Man, this light is sweet. Obviously, not as bright as the TK70.
But for under $70, its a steal at 830 lumens (it seems to be close to the true OTF measurement based on guys who did tests at Candle Power Forum).
Its got good throw and flood. If it wasn't the length of four 123 cells, this would be my new pocket light - hahaha...
This is like my new minimum lumen level
Since it cost me like $4, since I used my Amazon credit card points (I had like $65 worth), its even a better deal :D
