I have a 11.5 SBR with a light at the 10 o'clock. The light comes forward almost to the end of my muzzle. I'm running a battlecomp. Could the light placement be too forward causing muzzle flip issues?

If anything, the further forward the light is mounted - the LESS muzzle flip (weight hanging off the end). Maybe I'm not understanding your question though?
Good point about the weight. I was worried about the muzzle gasses pushing upward on the light

I wouldn't worry about that causing muzzle climb as much as I would worry about the light's lens getting coated in gunk.
Yeah that happens with the handgun light too. Always a pain to clean after every session.

Try using a WD-40 pen on your light before you take it out to shoot it.

Put a piece of masking tape over the lens before you start shooting.
