So i bought a new Bushmaster Carbon 15. I know, I know, dont be to hard on me. Its got the original handguards on it. What is the piece I need to mount a Magpul AVG grip to it.

I you want to mount the AFG on a set of standard handguards you will need something like this: Rail

I don't see an issue with the Bushmaster Cabon 15... other than the obvious... the problem is I guess I'm such a noob I don't know what the obvious is

The 'obvious' is that some folks feel that having a lower out of carbon fiber is weaker than a typical aluminum lower. Reports of them cracking are available w/ some searching. I'm not sure how representative those reports are - obviously it's still being made.

Unless you're talking about it being a Bushie ... which apparently some folks find sub-par. The one I handled (and only one!) seemed fine.
