I have an 16' Ar-15 with car handguards and a 6 postion collaspable stock and need help finding a sling. What I am looking for is a simple sling that will allow shoulder carry or carry in the ready position I have looked at a bunch of different models that have miles of webing looped back and forth and I really don't care for them. What does everybody recommend?
Padded VCAS (aka, Vickers/BlueForceGear Combat Applications Sling, and get the Padded version

)
Also, here's a nice write-up of different styles of slings:

Thanks guys I think the vcas is close to what I am looking for and I like the idea of it being padded since my rifle is an h-bar

I have unpadded VCAS for my ARs and am very happy with them. Excellent slings. All business, no BS. Be sure to get the standard version with the metal slide buckle thing. Not the cheaper plastic version.
I like the MS3
Botach had them for $39 and change w/free shipping using code SLICKMAG a couple of weeks ago - likely still good
Requires single point sling attachment if you don't already have one
Looks like a nice sling.I am looking for a sling for my AR-15 (SBR). I like the fact that it has the ability to switch from a single to double point sling.
You guys should look at the
Savvy Sniper Quad sling. They're made much better then the MS3 and thee most comfortable one I've ever used! All hand made too!
