You first need to decide if you want a single point, 2 point or 3 point sling and what kind of sling attachments you currently have and if you plan to change it. Also you need to decide if you want HK style or conventional looped type sling, this determines the type of mount. Next you need to pick colour.

I use Spectre Single point with HK style clips and quick release buckles.

I'm happy with my Blueforce Gear VCAS.

Me too. I've had an original for years. Just got a padded version and it is even better.

Emdom Gunslinger, Magpul MS3, VTAC, or BFG VCAS; I prefer the latter.

BlueForceGear Vicker's all the way. I messed around with single point slings, they just don't offer enough rifle control after you let go.
There are arguments to be made for each one, but I really think the Vicker's BFG is the one and only.

Viking tactics makes one similar, people like it. Gear sector makes nice single point sling if you feel you have to get it out of your system and try one, the also make great mounts for all kinds of needs.

There are other makes, and copies but I really love the BFG. Also, the material has a great feel, I think it's cotton poly blend. Other nylon webbing slings are either too stiff, cut into you, or are way to soft and slick feeling. I can't explain it, and maybe I'm the only guy who feels this way, but I love how the material they use grabs your clothing, and remains stiff enough to keep it's shape when it's slack.

It's been stated, but you'll need to pick an attachment method, and their is a padded version of the sling as well. I like QD loops at both ends, some people use one qd in front and use the loop on their stock in the rear.

Volund Gearworks does a really great alteration of the sling, it cleans it up greatly, here's the link to check it out,Volund BFG Modification Also you'll not the QD slider on the front of the sling, it allows you to clip your rear QD to it, and have a single attachment point sling, I've never used one so I can't vouch for it in relation to a dedicated single point.
I'm a little obsessive so I'll pop for something like for say my top three go to rifles, because whenever I build a rifle, I always put a BFG sling on it. I've tried many, many other brands, and I always came back to it. A sling is like a holster for a rifle.
