Anyone feel like sharing their opinion on these? Have you used both? Which do you like more? Why?

I like the Knight's. It just works. Not to mention it came free with/looks like tits on my SR-15.

Also I prefer how it feels in my hands (that's what she said) but it really is a matter of opinion.

I got the Magpul RVG today and found a sweet deal on a Knight's (on AR15.com) and I had to order it. It's the military standard, it's in my favorite FPS (BF3), and I have a knock-off KAC that's metal, but feels perfect, size and shape-wise.

That's awesome. Now you can really see for yourself which one you like as you got both.

One thing I will say is the Knight's is not as quick attaching and detaching as some other brands I've seen. I think it's Tangodown who has the quick pull tabs like the disassemblely tabs on a Glock frame. But I've never found myself taking off my VFG and reattaching so that's not a factor for me.

Also the KAC VFG sold via their webstore is for sure overpriced at around $80 before shipping.

I had the magpul, now I use the KAC.

I have big hands, and the KAC fits my whole hand comfortably, and it puts my hand in the perfect position to activate my SF light (I use a tailcap switch, not pressure)

The magpul was just too small to get a good feeling of control on the rifle when using the light.

But make sure you buy the KAC used. Their website prices are a little crazy.

I have both and I like both. Right now I have a KAC VFG on my DDM4 with my RVG sitting in a parts box awaiting another rifle down the road.

I feel like the the RVG is most conducive to those who shoot exclusively with the thumb-break method, but the KAC is good for a wider range of shooting styles and positions.

As for "ease" of removal, I don't see that as much of a plus or minus. QD levers and the like are not really (in my opinion) much of an asset to a VFG. The TD grips sucks to get on and off rails.

I had both and now use the magpul. I usually only put my ring and pinky finger on it with the rest of my hand on the handguard. The KAC seemed too long for my needs and the magpul shape fits me better.

I would pick the KAC.

Mods: Thanks for moving. Wasn't sure if the general AR discussions area was the right spot for this.

Anyway, yeah, i'm thnking the KAC is what I'll go with. I was actually planning to return the Magpul, before it even arrived. I also got 2 Magpul (maglevel) Pmags and a Magpul MIAD grip, which i'm happy with.

KAC makes some phenominal equipment but their VFG sucks big time when compared to other offerings on the market, ergonimics here. I do still own and use a few but definietly at the bottom of my choice list.
