I need a diaper bag that doesn't suck.
My wife is 24 weeks pregnant. We just had to do the baby registry thing yesterday, and I wasn't happy with any of the diaper bags. Im going to buy a Maxpedition bag instead. I've been looking over their website trying to find the perfect tactical diaper bag. So far, it looks like the Operator Tactical Attache, the Last Resort Tactical Attache, and the Mongo Versipack would work pretty well. Any advise from parents who are used to carrying all of this baby shit?
I had my own "Tactical Daddy diaper bag" for solo parenting ops., a 5.11 push pack.
It doesn't hold a lot, but I never packed it heavy either.
Gotta have one of these on it to be Tier 1.
Spendy - but it will last your tot's lifetime.

Go to the LaPoliceGear web site. Some of their closeout stuff will work great for a tactical diaper bag, and will cost less than Maxpedition gear, which I also own and like. A bailout bag with shoulder strap would have been nice back when the wife and I had our child...

We use their BOB and yes we have that patch

Be like a parent with more than one kid. Don't have one! Keep a spare binki in your pocket and the diapers/change of kids clothes in the car. GTG
It's hard to imagine but remember that it is a temporary situation.
You definitely want an easy hands-free bag that won't add to the 'trauma'.
I always just used a small backpack or Sling.
Pack light. You don't need much
I used a small backpack as a diaper bag. Now my kids can use it to pack when the go to the grandparents
I have given two friends Jumbo Versipaks as 'tactical' diaper bags. I pick one up from time to time in like new condition off the EE. I also gave another friend an LA Police Gear bail out bag because I came up dry on finding a Versipak and time was running out. Of the two, if I had to carry it, I would choose the Maxpedition every time. The guys who have them both love 'em.
I checked out some of the bags on LAPoliceGear. Some good options there. I like the Bail out Bag; seems like a pretty good size. The Jumbo BOB looks to be a great deal (closeout), but it might be a little large for everyday carry. One of my wife's friends suggested having two diaper bags; one small for everyday trips and one large for longer trips. This actually sounds like a pretty good idea, since I seem to be having a hard time figuring out exactly what I need. Here's my thinking now:
Option 1 (One bag)- Maxpedition Mongo Versipack or LA Police Gear Bail out Bag- Both should hold everything that I need while still looking somewhat comfortable to carry.
Option 2 (Two Bags)- LA Police Gear Jumbo BOB + Maxpedition Jumbo Versipack EDC- This gives me a large bag if we need to pack a lot of shit, but I can carry a smaller bag most of the time. Plus I will have a useful EDC bag once I no longer need a diaper bag

This is what we do. We keep a large generic bag in the car, fully stocked with damn near everything, including a change of clothes. Then my wife puts a couple diapers, some wipes and a burp cloth in her purse. You could do the same with a smaller maxpedition bag on your belt or messenger bag style. Few diapers, some wipes, burp cloth, maybe a formula bottle or reload with a bottle of water (so it doesnt spoil if you don't use it).

Sounds like a plan. Option 2 it is then. A jumbo bug out bag stocked with everything left in the car and a Jumbo Versipack for the essentials.
Now I just need to find those sweet patches...

I've heard of small rns made at various times by various people. I just googled diaper exchange kit and went from there. The pic is actually from an archived thread here.
