AR Side Sling/Biathlon Carry Question. {???}
After over a decade of extensive and sterling service from two AK's, I am switching to the AR system.
I need to carry the rifle center-back, double-sling "Biathlon"-type carry.
Can you good folks here make some recomendations?
This is a use-hard need. No range-only stuff.
We carried ours slung cross wise, sometimes muzzle up, sometimes not. Sometimes in front, up side-down.
That ALICE LARGE got in the way of the center of the back thing

Depending on pack, that is true, but I need center back carry for what I do. I have a rig I use for center carry on a pack frame for example, and I modifiy almost all my hunting rifles for left-gun-side, center-back carry. Crosswise just doesn't work for me.
I've seen Magpul stocks that have a slot in a position where it could be used for a left-side sling, but am wondering what else might be out there. Also, side sling options on the Magpul forestock look doable, but I'm not sure about how tough that forestock is. It has to be able to stand up to the strain of falls on snow and ice and such.
