Hey guys, bought a Stag from a gun show a while back and it came with a rail, and I don't really know what kind it is. It doesn't have any markings. I'm also sorry for the bad pics lol. But I was just wondering if anyone could identity it?
I read some reviews and it seems it's a pretty cheap rail
It seems alright though, a little heavy, but will i have problems adding a vertical grip to it?
If the rail is in spec, a vertical grip should fit, and tell you just how tight the rail locks up on the rifle. It may very well work out just fine.
I would suggest getting whatever decent quality (KAC, Tangodown, Larue, etc) grip you like and see how it works. If a good grip doesn't fit, or the rail isn't tight on the gun, then you can go with a different rail.
I'm a fan of the KAC M4 RAS as a fairly inexpensive, non-free floating, high quality rail. You can pick up factory seconds from the KAC website, or a used one on the EE.
