Lowest BUIS?
I just got a new Night Force scope. I have Magpul MBUS on the rifle now, but I won't be able to fit any sort of scope cover on it because magpul sights are .51". So far it looks MI has the lowest with .4375". I couldn't find the hight of PRI. Does anyone know of lower BUIS than .4375"? Does anyone us Troy sights with a Nightforce on it? Troy is .46". Just wondering if thats enough space for some BC flip scope covers.
Did you check out the Troy Micros?
KAC mirco?

MI makes a low profile rear flip up site.

The MI SPLP is very low.
bruh44,
I use Troy flip-sights beneath a NightForce scope, and I went through the same thing before placing my order. I can pull them out - or the records or whatever - and get the parts / model numbers for you if you think you may want to go that route. However, mine work fine.
Have you seen these sights, which came out long after I purchased my flip-ups? They seem like they'd be a lot more practical in a tactical situation: http://www.laruetactical.com/dd-rapid-transition-sight-set-surefire

Troy Micro is for rifles with a different height than Ar's. MI is the sight I mentioned.
Does anyone know the KAC Micro Height? Can't tell from looking if it's any lower than other sights.
You mentioned having a Magpul but WHAT Magpul do you have? Their new MBUS2 is made for exactly these issues and a heck of a lot cheaper then say a KAC sight.

I did see those. I'd preffer BUIS. For what I've seen the more stuff sticking out on the rifle, the more stuff gets broken off when you need it. I think those are more for competion.
I don't mean to make it sound like I'm a sniper, but I'm in LE and given the chance, I'd definately put this rifle to work.
So the standard Troy BUIS worked okay with butler creek flip sights?
The Magpuls are gen 2 (.51").

Along the same lines but offset folding and light weight:
KAC MICRO OFFSET
My ARMS 40L is super low, and solid as a rock
KAC 300 is the lowest of them all.

Here's a picture of the Magpul Gen 2 under it:
And I'm sure all you AR junkies want to see the whole rifle:

Nice rifle man - you should have your BUIS installed on the last rail closest to the charging handle...try this and I bet you have enough clearance.
my $0.02

I did, it didn't make a difference. Plus then it got in the way of the charging handle.

Good point. I wouldn't really call this a "problem", it's more of a slight inconvenience.
