Recommendation For Optical Sight For Colt 6721

I would like to try optical sights on my Colt 6721 carbine. It looks like there is about 7" of rail available when the carry handle/sight assembly is removed. I have tried Eotech and seem to like them. I'm getting older, 60+ and the eyes aren't what they used to be. I shot a friend's rifle with the 3X magnifier. It was nice. The HHS 2, Eotech is interesting but I'm not sure it would fit on the rail and leave room for a back-up rear sight. I'm not an LEO and shoot for fun. I would like to try one of the fighting rifle courses. Also curious about a single-point sling mount. I understand it is hell removing the tube on a Colt and have looked at the quick-mounts that don't require removal. Comments here would also be appreciated.

It will fit. 6721 with EoTech 512, 3X EoTech magnifier, Matech buis.
Putting a sling mount wasn't an issue with mine, with the correct wrench removing the buffer tube was quite easily done.
