EOTech XPS vs EXPS - Differences?

So far I think the differences are EXPS has side buttons and integral quick detach base. Is there anything else? Difference in co-witness?

I don't need night vision compatibility, so I've been looking at an XPS2-2. What would I be giving up?

Thanks.

The EXPS has the 7mm riser built in so that it elevates the optic up to give a lower 1/3 co-witness similar to a 553, 517, etc.

Most people prefer the lower 1/3 co-witness because it frees up a good bit of your optic window that is usually covered by the sights.

I would go with the EXPS personally. Or get an Aimpoint T-1 or H-1 with LaRue tall mount or Daniel Defense tall mount.

I stopped buying EoTechs do to quality issues. I still have a few of them, but everything I buy now is an Aimpoint M4S or T-1/H-1.

Thanks, CC. That's exactly what I needed to know.

The EXPS are top notch! I would definitely consider one for your weapon. They are small thus leaving room for folding sights and a magnifier, and weigh much less than the regular size EOTech.

Definitely! Opticsplanet has an exclusive 2-button version if you don't want to pay for the NV button. I recently bought 2 of them for $475 each(they advertise them for $495 but if you call they'll sell for $475 or maybe even less). They're especially great if you plan to put a magnifier behind the sight.

Thanks to both of you. The EXPS2-2 looks pretty tempting!

I just bought the EXPS 3-0 at a gun show for $550. Just having the 7mm riser and quick detach included makes it worth the money.
