Anyone have some of these? Know the weights/heights? Have an opinion? Do they come in 1" or 30mm or what? I'm assuming they are aluminum, is this correct?

I don't know about the heights or diameters of the rings, but they are made from aircraft grade aluminum with treated SS levers for corrosion resistance.

They come in 1", 30mm, and 34mm.

They are made of 6061 T6 aluminum.

Not sure about weights, or heigth.

I've got a pair of the predecessor "classic" QD rings. I didn't actually weigh them but, just holding them in my hand I guess that they are about half the weight of Knight rings.

The older version don't look as "cool" as this newer version but, IMHO they are a much more intelligent design.

Luck,

SD

Elaborate, if you will please. I am interested in your thoughts on this......

I see the price on the site, is that $185 for one ring or two?

Maybe I'm missing something but for $185, I'd think these rings are made of gold! What makes these rings cost 3x the price of Leupold's QRW rings? I just decided b/t the A.R.M.S. (hate the shim for the 30mm to 1" conversion - more things to go wrong), Larue (too expensive) and Leupold and went with the Leupold QRW rings.

McB:

The version I have uses vertically split rings with only one screw per ring. The rings are also seperate pieces from the bases. I'll post some pics when I get a minute. They look kind of R2-D2 compared to the currently fashionable "connecting rod end from a Chevy V8" designs but, they work good. They work REAL good.

I don't have the engineering vernacular to explaint to you exactly how but; the rings are self-aligning in the bases. In other words, there is absolutely no need to lap the rings. And if you change the gun or change the scope everything re-aligns itself as you assemble it. It's fucking ingeneous.

And repeat zero after dismounting? Oh yeah!!!

SD,

I am familiar with the original version. I can see your point there. Thanks!

Looks like a just a B&W picture. Does anyone know for sure if they ditched the gold hardware or not?

$185 gets you the pair I believe. They come in 1", 30mm and 34mm.

To the best of my knowledge, the throw levers are black on current production LaRue stuff. The screws still have a brass color but they are MUCH more muted.
