Are the 20rd Thermold mags legit? they are pretty cheap right now and if they are worth it I'll pick some up. CDNN has a sale with 50 20rd mags and a backpack for 200 and free shipping. Are they worth it?

I had good luck with my 20rd Thermold mags. I only sold mine because they were pre-ban. I kept one of mine loaded for over a year and it fed fine and showed no signs of stress.

But at the price of $4-5 you can't go wrong with Thermold mags. Some kool-aid drinkers will fault them, but all in all they are good mags. I'm not sure if buying 50 of the 20rd Thermolds is something I would recommend, save some $$$ for some Thermold 30rd mags!.

I only have a couple that were made for the Mini-14.

After a while keeping them fully loaded, there was a tendency for the top rounds to easily "pop-out," while being handled.

I do not personally have much confidence in them after that.

I did not like the ones I had and I sold them. If you are going to buy some, only get a couple to try out.. don't get 50 on your first try... but with all the other quality mag options you have, you really should get something else.

Thanks for the input guys, I will prolly steer clear of them. I have many different magazines and just trying to see if its a good deal or not, you can always use more you know...

I bought a few. No problems after the first trip to the range, but no real torture test. They were sturdier than I expected.

I have several 20 rd Thermolds for the range and they work fine. CDNN runs a sale almost every weekend, often they are on sale for $3 each limit 3 if you want to try them.
