What are the cheapest mags that the collective would buy and stock up on? Links?

Wanting to stock up on some 30 round mags (open to others if the deal is great). I know there is a cheap mag thread but curious as to how cheap the collective would recommend without sacrificing to much quality.

$15-$20 Pmags for the AR from anywhere, $10 European steel mags from AIM surplus for the AK. Reasonably priced quality!

I paid $6 a piece for Colt 30 round used magazines at the Wichita gunshow this weekend. The seller had dozens of them. He was selling new generic magazines for $8. I tried both the new magazines and the Colts and all worked fine.

+1 on DSG Arms

Their teflon 30 rounders w/ magpul followers for $8.50 each (when you buy lots of 10) or $9.25 each are about the best out there when it comes to the "cheapest" quality new mags.

I happen to be a magpul whore, so Hamlund Tactical for 30rnd Pmags for $11.99 each––and free shipping when you buy 10 or more–– gets my vote.

That being said...I have a few Thermold's from CDNN that I got for $2.99 each.
They seem to work fine, but they are cheap...
These are the "buy 'em cheap and stack 'em deep" magazines for ban-fearing hoarders...

30 round Pmags should be about $11.50 each delivered if the slickmags coupon code still works at Botach.

I have about 35, and don't really feel that saving $3 each and getting a metal mag is worth it.

milspec. I have adventureline, colt, d&h, nhtmg, and probably some others I am not remembering at the moment. Sometimes the used and worn ones are better than the new ones.

Is this coupon just for P-Mags or will it work on all mags?

It was for all Magpul items. I bought a MS3, an ASAP plate, and 3 PMAGS and got 20% off of the entire order. It's been a couple of weeks and I don't know if it's still active.

Probably easier to find used USGI mags than any other used top tier tacticool magazine. I mean real contract USGI mags such as Brownells, Centers, OK, Parsons etc. Many of these work perfectly fine and have plenty of life left...................Yes I know, the spring might fail, or they might have the wrong follower, or they might get stepped on and you will be killed blah, blah, blah.........................

USGI used or surplus or new. I don't care as long as it's under 8.50 a mag. I peruse EE looking for deals on mags.

Pmag. Can find them for 12 bucks all the time. Plus you can run them over with a truck or hummer.

Run over to 44 mag.

$12.99 with magpul followers is awesome.

New and like new quality mags can be found on th EE cheap all the time. Don't think cheap. Buy a few at a time and buy high quality. The NHMTG is an awesome magazine.

I made the mistake last year of buying a bunch of C-Products 30-rnd. aluminum mags. Great price at the time of $7.99 each...but they simply wouldn't feed steel cased ammo at all. Sold them all off in favor of Magpul and Lancer magazines.

I know. I have some. They're still old, whether they're new in wrapper or not.

Pushing eighteen years old at a minimum to be precise

Found some plain black 30-rd RevM PMags @ Shiptons Big R for $9.99 each. Stocked up. Sale is over though. Too bad; I should have got more.

They're fine so long as you know how they operate and can handle it. Certainly some good deals to be had from them.

18 years isn't old for something made out of aluminum. It was probably aluminum ore for thousands of years. Your old NIW magazines are identical to NIW mags made yesterday. I have an SP1 made in 1964(including the mags it was sold with) and it still spits out rounds like it did 48 years ago

Thanks for your service. There are people here that would try to convince the peanut gallery that you were in grave danger using standard USGI magazines in combat. Bullets from USGI mags have been putting enemies of the United States in their graves for the last 50 years........

Would you be so kind as to enlighten a new member as to how they operate ?
Thanks

BTW: I have a mix of USGI with MagPul followers and Pmags. If you catch a sale you can buy Pmags for the same price as USGI, at least i have.

In a way they did. As I understand it Colt manufactured the stamping dies and Okay has them under contract from Colt. Colt leases the dies to minority contractors.
