A friend gave me some pmag gen iii followers to try so I grabbed a hand full of mags and installed them. All work fine except for the one I installed in a brand new usgi okay mag. Magazine loads fine but will not lock in place with the full 30 rounds in any of my ar15's or my colt usgi m16.
Has to be the longer follower bottoming out on the bottom of the mag. Could I trim a little off each leg to get the extra clearance?

All my magazines(60+) are Colt, Okay, NHMTG with Gen III Magpul followers and they all lock up on a closed bolt with 30 rounds. My rifles are all Colts as well. I'm stumped at your issue.
Solved the problem. If you only put 30 rounds in the mags they lock up fine. If you put 31 they won't.
