Is there a web site or book that shows early AR-15, M-16 magazine bottom plates?

I found a Colt 20 round mag with a floorplate marked as a Colt .222 REM.
Anyone know anything about these?

Colt has sold .222 AR's to countries where military calibers are illegal. A bunch were sold here, too. Except for the .222 marking, they're identical to .223/5,56 mags.

So, there's nothing special about them?

Not really. Someone that collects Colt stuff, or different magazines, or one of the few owners of a .222 AR that wants matching mags, might pay a small premium for it. Maybe $20 total, or so.

If you want to see what its worth put it on gunbroker with good pictures and no reserve.

To a Colt collector it could be worth $50+ as some of them are fanatical.
