Thermold pic request
If any of you have new, as in brand new, Thermold magazines, could you please snap a pic of the lower portion of the body, where the mold stamps and other markings are? Both sides would be great. This would be a big help to those of us in NY and other magazine ban states as there is little information on Thermolds and how to tell prebans from postbans. It's not like we can order some new ones and compare. :)
Thanks in advance.
I have 3 of the 20 round magazines that I just got one is still in the plastic.
No pictures but here is the information you asked for
On the bottom of the floor plate is "PAT NO 5329,718 Wilson N.C. U.S.A.
Right side is stamped a circle with MS 20 in it, then in the center of the mag is a circle with Law and gover.use only then on the other side is a circle with 95 in it
on the left side in the center is a large circle with Master molder Wilson NC USA in it.
Thank you!
Guys, please keep 'em coming. If you can't take pics a description like the above is okay.
How good are these mags compaired to Pmags? I'm looking for 20 Rnd for the FAL and LAR 8
there is no comperason of the two.
The thermold have a place they are very inexpensive and work ok, The biggest issue I have is that they do not always hold the bolt open on the last shot.
I take mine to the range mostly if I should loose or break one I have not lost much. I consider them disposable magazines I can get about 4 Thermold for the price of one Pmag
Anyone?
Here's an old pic with a thermold mag in . . .

Thanks! Anyone have a post 2004 30 rounder?
Bueller?

here you go
sorry about the bad quality. only have a camera phone.

Bottom plate: PAT. NO. 4139959
Left side: 21

Bill, just to be clear you do realize that NY magazines have to be manufactured prior to the Sept. '94 ban????

Yes. I'm trying to find out if there are obvious differences between prebans and post 2004 new production mags. In some cases, as in the photo above, there are. In other cases, they are exactly the same.
They must be fairly decent mags if a governmental military has adopted them for use.

Lowest bidder ring a bell? Remember not everyone throws cash at the military like the US does... They work, sorta. I got six new ones with a Century rifle and I got rid of all of them. IMHO they were worthless. No way I'd use those instead of a GI mag or a PMag...
