Just picked up 4 of these for 10 bucks each. Guy has a good size box full of them. Worth while to pick up more?

Try posting in the Magazine section, you will get more hits.

10 dollars is a lot of money for a 20 round mag, you could get new pmags for that price. However, the M16/M16A1 intrigues me, they may very well be rare, or they may very well be junk. I would lean for the former.

USGI from the 1960's, $10.00 is not a bad price.

Universal/Simmonds was a name used by the current Okay Industries, which has always made Colt factory mags, and NHMTG mags.

Except for the floorplate they were/are the exact same mags shipped with Colt rifles.
(There should be a stamped "UI" on the front, turn it sideways it becomes "CH" for "Colt Hartford")

$10 is about what they're worth. Not a bargain and not a ripoff.

Yeah, they have UI on the front. All are in great shape except the finish. No dents, no dings,no scratches, alloy followers move smoothly. Think I'm going to get a few more from him just because I like the aluminum 20 rounders my own self.

Edit to ad: Thanx for the move OP

The guys behind the lines in NY CT etc will probably give you $15ea for them.

Then you can buy brand new ones for yourself

I personally like the aluminum 20's. These and Adventure Line. MOST all of them need a new spring. Brownell's, $30 for a package of 10 new USGI spec springs. Replace the springs and they are like new. Or better, just spend the money and buy new NMHTG which is Colt/OKay.

Wish I could find them that cheap. I bought quite a few back for $20

Well, I cherry picked a total of 10 Universal/Simmonds from the guy. He still has a few of those and at least 15-20 Adventure Lines left, all with alloy followers, but the follower movement seemed kind of rough on those, so I passed on them.
