 9MM zero with iron sights

Did a quick and fruitless search; going to the range to check the zero on a Colt 6450 w/carry handle sights.
Is there a preferred distance for zeroing this carbine?
Any particular ideas on the large and small aperture sights for zeroing and use?

Thanks in advance,
Moon

IIRC (my 6450 is locked up right now), the large aperture is for 50 yards (or meters) and the small aperture is for 100 yards (or meters). I'd zero at either 50 or 25, depending on how you intend to use the rifle. FFIW mine seems to shoot POA at both 25 and 50, and did out of the box.

Landric, I give the big ap mixed reviews for me, but then I may have been shooting at too small a target...realize that the bigger opening is more about speed than precision.

Oddly, it seems the zero on the 6450 shifted when I put on a MagPul forend...?
Thanks,
