Dedicated .22 upper build for Wife

So I have built several AR 15 uppers (.223, 300blk) and I want to build a dedicated .22 upper for the wife.
I already have a complete lower and a upper receiver from Palmetto State Armory.
I am trying to understand what additional parts i need. I also have the DD FF rail for her,
I am looking into purchasing one of the following options
Option 01

Option 02
.22lr bolt/conversion kit

You will need the 1st option. It will come with the bolt. Unless you already have a .22 bolt, the 2nd option will not help you.

Do I need a special charging handle?

You can get the anti jam charging handle but I have yet to have a CMMG set up that needed one. Those were made for other manufacturers kits that were prone to throwing empties into the charging handle.

For $100 more, you got a upper receiver, anti jam charging handle, free shipping, factory warranty. I'd go with CMMG UPPER M4LE .22 16" PENCIL Barrel or CMMG UPPER M4LE instead of option 1.

I am particular about my guns and only want to use matching upper/lowers. I have several PSA lowers that need builds.
Thats why the two options I laid out only were parts and not complete uppers.
