Edit: sorry thought this was builds in general

ok here is the deal was swaping out pistol grips first one went fine"Daniel def lower"

second one I think I stripped the threads"it an armalite receiver"

I cant get the original screw back in now or the new one.

there was a point where I thought to my self I should stop trying to force this screw in but
did I listen to my self no....go figure.

my question is is the there a way to recut the threads or is my lower screwed?

looked at that how would I use that?

also I am not very good with tools "if its simple ok"

any thing event remotely complicated I am screwed"

would I bee better of taking it to my gunsmith ?

thanks for the help I just don't want to screw it up more if its fixable.

if you have a tap set, you could try to chase the threads. Otherwise use some thread repair kit.

well I fixed it..threads where just dirty with gunk.

quick wipe out and all good. used an old bore brush that fit the hole on a whim.

sometimes when you walk away from a problem for a few

it is a good thing.

thanks all for the replies.
