What would be the best 2 POINT sling to use on a 20" A2 stocked rifle where you would be carrying the rifle for an "indefinite" period of time considerating comfort and durability?

Boonie Packer 2P IMO. The price listed includes shipping. You can't go wrong, they are built tough.

BTW, there is a sub forum for slings here: http://www.ar15.com/forums/f_3/19_Slings_and_Other_Accessories.html

The boonie packer as stated, the VTAC or a home brew using an old alice pack strap.

I like the Specter sling myself for a two point.

I know you asked for a 2 point, but when running a heavy NV I have Spec-Ops 3 point's as I like the balance when carrying them in patrol ready while hunting. They work so I haven't replaced them.

2nd on the USGI M-60 padded sling if going budget. Charleyssurplus NIW for $8.50. Probably need to trim 2-3in off each end but that's personal preference, straps seemed kinda long to me. Very comfortable on a long haul to me, a little better than a GP cargo strap homebrewed sling but both work fine. Never tried the Bonnie packer but it also looks decent for the coins. Slings are something I never invested much moolah in.

Vickers tactical 2 point wide padded sling is awesome.

Love mine even though I just use it for an ar carbine. Who knows when I'll get to tote the 249

Viking Tactics Padded Quick-Adjust 2-point sling, hands-down. I used to make my own slings, and VTAC put me out of business in that regard. I could no longer justify what I was making when I was using the VTAC sling. I've been using them since 2003 now. The main advantage is being able to quick-adjust it to your specific need at any given moment with one hand if needed. The Vikers sling is next in line, which has the advantage of not having any free running ends to get caught on anything. The newer VTAC Mark II addresses this with a keeper for the running end. They're both great slings from guys who have chased the never-ending solution to weapon slings for most of their adult lives.
