Aluminum sights ok for gas block mount?

Are light weight aluminum sights ok for gas block mounting on a piston carbine? Will they hold zero...say through a carbine course? Thanks.

If you heat up that gas block enough to start melting and/or warp aluminum sights... You're gonna start having other problems real fast too.
