LWRC M6A2 Operator(NEW FINISHED PIC)
Well I walked into my LGS yesterday and bamm they just got a shipment of 5 of them. I had no intentions on buying one(although a 14in AR was on my "to get" list)
I held it and played with it for a little white....then left. Well I just couldnt get it off my mind so I went back a few hours later and just had to get it.
Here are some pics out of the box. Will get some better ones soon. An Acog will be finding its home on top of her very very soon
Just got back from the range with my M6A3.
Finally found a load it really likes. 55 gr Blitz King over 25 gr of Varget.
I love not cleaning my bolt group. Not a hiccup yet with about 500 rounds through it.
Actually had an issue with this rifle- the throat was out of spec- it ran fine but accuracy suffered as it had a huge jump to the rifling when loaded to magazine length. Called LWRC and the guy emailed me a shipping ticket. Bada-bing, had it back in just over a week with a new barrel.
Gotta love that.
Enjoy.
I have one of them too....Love it

Aww man that thing is straight up sexy. Congrats on your purchase, I'm envious! Love the ambi bolt catch, no need for a bad lever =)
Nice. You did well. The Operator is slick.
Very fine looking carbine. And I'm sure she'll shoot as nice as she looks.
Well done
Jealous, I am wanting a non pinned 14.5 to do RS with. The operator is the one to get and I don't have the money for it right now :(
I've been thinking about one of those! How light (or heavy) is it?
Factory spec for the M6A2 is 7.3 pounds with the 16" bbl.
The M6A1 is listed at 6.8 pounds but my 14.7" version weighs 7.3 pounds so I expect the M6A2 is heavier as well.
By the time I put the EoTech 553, sling, and a forward vertical grip on the M6A1 she's pushing 9 pounds. And there's room on the rails for another 20 pounds of "stuff."

This is all less magazine and ammo.
My M6-SL weighs in at 6.8 pounds(stripped) but the claimed weight is 6.4 pounds so these are all a couple ounces more than spec.

I love LWRC! Big fan of their spiral fluted barrels too! What made you go with this model over the SPR? Not that I'm being nosey, I just can't see why you'd go with this handguard over the SPR's lower profile shape...
The Operator has a billet ambi lower, which is a nice feature that the SPR doesn't have. I love my SPR, but I'd like to have an Operator, too. :)

I just like the fatter handguard better....They actually had both of them available there to handle...Just my preference
I got her finished up
4x32 ACOG TA31H
Vltor Emod Stock
Ergo Grip
(Bipod is only for the pic)
Here she is all done

Smokin hot.
Why the BAD with the ambi-bolt hold open?

I put it on because I have them on my other AR's and am just so used to using it....
That's an awesome looking rifle. I love the helical fluting on the barrel.

Oh. In that case, I'll trade you a Colt lower with a Norgon ambi-catch installed for that IC ambi-lower.
Nice LWRCi, though!

Got one, fantastic rifle. Handles really well.
