I like it.

Out of curiosity, where in CT are you?

ETA: I see you are in New Britian.

That is correct. New Britain.

Being in a banned state, I got tired of the A2 buttstock, and refused to buy a pinned.
Finally decided to take it upon ourselves to do something about it. And the EFX-A1 was born.

We have extensively tested these stocks on both Grendel and Beowulf rifles and they are really tough and have show zero failures. They would make a great option for a varmint rig with ample storage for a pull through such as the Otis light system. Cheek weld is good (better than the A2) and they work great soaking up the recoil from bigger calibers.

A thouroughly good product.

Figured I'd chime in here, here's a pic of it on my SPR build

That's alumahyde earth brown.
Being in a banstate and trying to get cool gear sucks sometimes, but this is what I came up with for an SPR

Super sniper 3-9x
EFX-A1 stock
midwestPX pinned Pmag
Vltor polymer bipod
geissele SSA-E on the inside

I'm debating taking off some of the stuff on the front and BUIS to lower the weight.

Comments on the stock: Solid. A vast improvement over the A2, in terms of feel, cheek placement, looks, etc. I even had a cheek-riser on my A2 for a while, the EFX-A1 blows it out of the water, and is lighter to boot. I have a pinned Vltor A5 on my other gun - had I tried the EFX-A1 stock first/had it been available when i was doing that build, both might currently be wearing the EFX stock. It's just well thought out. The slope on it is great for guys like me with a big upperbody, it helps you really get into the rifle .

Nearly solely because of this stock, I'm considering doing a build and calling it: "1965 facelift"
A1 stock
DD A1 sight
20in lightweight barrel (considering a 16in middy to keep it handier)
MOE handguards.
slickside upper.
and that's it.

the light handy 0-300 yard carbine it was designed to be, with a couple updates

It's nice to be able to own a rifle you can actually be proud of in a ban state, thanks for bringing this to market guys

Any chance you'll make a shorter version using the entry length receiver extension and A2 spacer/screw to get an OAL of around 8"? The A1 is too long for me and I hate having to pin collapsible stocks. I like the length of the Sully stock, I believe 8 1/8", but it's so damn heavy.

I had a chance to shoot someone's rifle with one of these stocks last week. Nice stock more comfortable than the A2 and I prefer the shorter length of the A1. I wish they made one in entry length.

It's current on the Stag web site, but it's still listed as a M.A.G.S. EFX-A1, so I don't believe it's a "Stag" stock but an available upgrade.

Pic above is okay, but hard to tell what exactly would fit inside.

I am excited about the A1 length. I always have to go off into the EE to get A1 stocks when I build.

I saw these a few months back on Rainier Arm's website in their new products page. I am on the fence, I like the cheek weld, but I dont like the bottom storage. Maybe my opinion would change when I can actually hold a rifle with one equipped as I am going by pictures alone. I still like the fact they are making more A1 style fixed stocks in different configurations. These is never anything wrong with more options. I still think there is a good market for fixed stocks, I personally am in the market for one as I dont like the collapsing stock on my 20" rifle.

Keep it up!

Thank you so much. I saw one of these at the last Springfield show, great product. I'll be looking forward to building up a lower with one, thanks for thinking about those of us behind enemy lines. I really appreciate it, and I really like it.
So if I drive up to NB can I pick one up? Local dealers carrying it, like JoJo's? or should I order online?
Thanks.

Hi everyone,
Im new to the firearm world and have a newb question.

Is there any reason for this stock to NOT work with
http://www.riflegear.com/p-1046-collapsible-stock-assembly-parts-kit.aspx

The kit that I got incudes:

Stag Arms Mil-Spec Receiver Extension (6 Position)
Carbine Buffer
Carbine Spring
Receiver End Plate
Receiver Nut (Castle Nut)

Thanks! I like this stock much better than anything that I have seen.

It does not fit a carbine collapsible tube. You need the standard rifle tube, buffer and spring.

It would be nice to see the compartment come with or be offered with a fitted insert that would securely hold AA and 123 batteries so that way they aren't rattling around inside of the stock. Also, a rubber gasket to make it waterproof! Just some ideas!!

Make on shorter, perhaps a bit longer than a sully stock and you will have a total WINNER!

Proper protocol would be to at least give proper photo credit or ask before re-posting someone elses photographs.

Here is the SAME AR that I photographed and built before I put the EFX stock on...

Please come out with the same stock about an inch longer than a closed M4 stock which screws on like a carbine reciever extension so sling plates can be used. That would be awesome.

I just received my complete kit which I ordered through Stag. My impressions right now are mixed.

The stock appears and feels well make and I love the SOPMOD-like cheek weld. I purchased this stock to replace my A2 stock on my SPR-ish build.

Unfortunately the hole in the end of the stock used to secure it to the receiver extension does not quite line up with the hole in the receiver extension. It is slightly low. This mis-alignment caused me to strip the threads in one of my receiver extensions as it forced the screw down. I thought the resistance I was initially feeling was due to the thread locker provided on the installation screw. Upon further investigation I found this was not the case. I pulled out a fresh receiver extension and removed the thread locker from the provided screw in order to be able to thread the screw by hand to better test resistance. I am still unable to line up the screw once the stock is installed. It looks like I will have to drill out the opening slightly to allow for a truly straight engagement.

I'm not sure if I just got a bad example or if these stock simply are not quite plug-and-play. I understand lower production, semi-custom pieces can require a bit of "massaging".

Just my $0.02

it would be nice if it allowed for the spacer so you could use a one point sling.
