Palmetto State Armory - 10.5" Hammer Forged upper - $499!!

Palmetto State Armory is proud to announce our new line of 10.5" Hammer forged uppers. Priced at just $499.99 for a complete upper, with options for MOE Handguards and MBUS. Upper is also available "stripped" (no BCG or Charging Handle) for just $419.99.
Barrel is made for Palmetto State Armory by FN using their proprietary blend of Hammer forged chrome molly vanadium that is referred to as "Machine Gun Steel" by virtue of its use in FN's M249 and M240 weapons. The hammer forging process work hardens the steel, making it more durable. In addition, the chrome process for the bore allows for a lining almost twice as thick as a standard M16 for enhanced durability. Chambered in 5.56 NATO, with a 1/7 twist, M4 barrel extension with extended feedramps, and a carbine gas system. The barrel has an A2 style profile, is Mil-spec phosphate coated, and Mp and HP tested. The upper is and is finished off with an F-marked front sight post with sling swivel, and A2 flash hider.
Upper: Forged 7075-T6 A3 AR upper is made to MIL-SPECS and hard coat anodized black for durability. Featuring machined T marks, and a mil-spec finish. These uppers are made for us right here in the USA by a mil-spec manufacturer, and are marked with the Palmetto State Armory logo on the left side, up front, just below the rail.
Bolt: Bolt is made of Mil-spec Carpenter 158 steel, Shot peened, MPI and HPT. Gas key is secured with grade 8 fasteners and staked per mil-spec. Bolt carrier is parkerized outside, chrome lined inside, and laser engraved with the Palmetto State Armory logo.

I am interested in one of these barrels. Is it possible to get just the barrel with hand guard piece and front site installed? Hopefully the $199 price will hold for a while. Now I have the motivation to get my tax stamp.

I told my wife no more AR purchases for a while ... BUT ... this upper has me drooling! I see an order being placed in the near future for a pistol build and ultimately turned into an SBR.

just ordered the barrel for my pistol lower..will install a troy gas block. Good price for all the specs.

Unfortunately, "fast" doesn't accurately describe the wait period on tax stamps.

@ Palmetto: I know your ad says HP tested but the barrel I got has no HP markings ( however it has MP markings), are they all HP tested but not marked ?

Carbine gas system, and we do not have any piston options for it.

All of the Hammer forged units are high pressure tested, the "MP" serves as the proof mark.
