I hope you are not pinning the A2 Flash hider are you?

You mention the upper is made in U.S.A., Is any part in this assembly not made in the U.S?

I'm jealous. I ordered my upper just 7 days ago... I'm not so patiently waiting for it to ship.

Got my upper today. My initial impressions are good. Everything seems put together correctly. Bolt carrier gas key is staked properly. The finish, once given a light coat of oil, matches my spikes lower real well. The upper itself was packaged real well in bubble wrap and was in excellent condition when it arrived. The fit on my spikes lower is tight without any play what so ever. I feel like this is easily the best deal out there right now. I haven't shot it yet (might be able to this weekend) but from the looks of things, this is a solid upper.

Total weight of my setup according to my bathroom scale is 6.8 lbs. In comparison, my SCAR in it's current config is a full pound heavier at 7.8 lbs.

And, of course, I have the obligatory picture....

I'm sold! lol. I was going to go with BCM Midlength but $469 for 16" Carbine completed upper with MOE handguard and MBUS I can't convince myself not to go with your Upper. Aside from the lower I think every other parts of my AR are coming from PSA (MOE lpk, moe stock kit, psa 16" upper). Would have got lower from you as well if I didn't miss out on that $50 lower sale.

I believe the only difference is the material the barrel is made out of.

Standard = 4140 steel
Premium = 4150 steel

Also, the standard has more hand-guard options on the website. Not sure if you can call and get those options applied to the premium or not, though.

The Standard is a 4140 barrel, the Premium is a 4150 barrel. The Premiums are currently discounted to allow those who missed out on our initial offering a chance to buy.

Handguard option is a function of website updating. Change should take place in the next day or so.

I just stumbled across these PSA uppers and did a search here to see if there was any feedback. Based on the few favorable reviews so far, I may go ahead an order one. I was just looking at a light weight YHM upper all decked out for $900. That one only weighs 4.8 lbs but is pretty expensive.

I am looking at your 14.5" with the pinned on flash hider only because I was the Midwest free float quad rail hand-guard for $499. Is it possible to order the 16" with the Midwest hand-guard? Are there any other differences between the 14.5" and 16" other than the barrel and flash hider?

The 14.5 and 16's are identical in features if your talke the barrel and the flash hider out of the comparison. The 14.5" barrels and Midwest T9's are out of stock. They should be back in stock next week.

I'm really bummed that I bought one of the first ones made of 4140 for the exact same price. .....should I be all that down about it? I just ordered one of the later 4150 uppers for the rifle I'm building my father, so would it be considered dishonest to swap his upper and mine? j/k
