Just saw this at Sarco and it reminded me of an earlier post about a couple people looking for a heat shield/bayonet lug for a Winchester trench gun.

What shotguns would this fit on? I think if I ever got a shotgun, it'd have to be a trench gun clone.

If my 97 wasn't a take-down model I would be sorely tempted to buy one.

Mine is a takedown model - will it not fit?

It will fit but it is not historically accurate. This Retro stuff has clouded my sensibilities.

I have one of the Norinco 97 clones. If it didn't already have a heatshield and bayo lug on it, I'd be sorely tempted to get one. Funny thing about those Norinco's. I've had mine for six years or so, and decided this year to take it hunting. Just to see how a 20" cyl choked bbl would do. Shot a round of skeet with it first. I got quite a few unique looks from those in my party as well as from others. I started busting clays with it pretty well at some distance even, especially for being my first time. (so I was told) So one of my buddies walks up and asks what the choke is. I said I thought it was cylinder. He pulls out a choke gauge, inserts it in the bbl, and what do you know. It's choked modified. I took quite a few birds with that gun later that day. You gotta love the historical accuracy of Norinco's firearms.

I own the TTN Norinco M1897 clone..it has a improved cyl. choke tube in it..ie..fat barrel.....Wonder if the heatsheild/bayo-lug will fit one of these?

You did well because the Chinook god was with you.
