Hey Guys,

Check out these JPG's that I got off a website call Pimp My Gun. It's very cool, just wish they had more retro stuff. I created two JPG's of an XM-177E1XM-177 and an M16A1. What do you guys think? Lastly let me give the two guys who created the website some credit. The website is located at the following link. Pimp My Gun Website

XM-177E1XM177 (Still needs a little work in Microsoft Paint) Notice the lack of Teardrop FA, needs the lower modified a little more and furniture needs to be a little darker

M16A1 (Still needs a little work in Microsoft Paint) Notice the lack of Teardrop FA, and needs the lower modified a little more.

What say the hive?

Nice start. But...

XM177 lacks forward assist completely. It was the USAF version. Given a GAU- rather than M-number.

XM177E1, the Army model, has a teardrop forward assist.

The USAF was still in denial about forward assist at this time and fielded the XM16 originally too. Yep, no forward assist.

Thanks Chuck, my bad. I stand corrected it should be an XM177E1 (Model 609).

needs a locking nut for the receiver endplate, skinny handguards, auto sear pin, and 0.625" diameter barrel.

I'll add that to my list, thanks! I'm currently working on a prototype and 607 drawing.

This is just like a 711 that I have with a rare Colt 1/7 Twist Chrome Lined Barrel.
