I was thinking of getting an AR pistol and had a few question?
1.) What is a good model? Rock River? Double Star?
2.) 7" or 10.5" Which is more functional and accurate?
3.) Is it better to buy a complete pistol or build one my self?
4.) Red dot or iron sights?

Thanks

I have a Bushmaster carbon 15 with a 7" barrel with Iron sites. this thing does not have the recoil that you would think. It shoots real nice at 50 yards holding it in your hand.

It's a pistol, go with the 7 or 7.5 inch barrel. I have no problem hiting a steel plate at 200 yds. with mine.

1- Rock River > Dblstar ,
2- 7.5 , accurate , (its a pistol)
3- I say build the lower yourself, buy a complete upper, (JSE, R-Guns, Palmetto)
4- you'll need back up sights for a red dot, or mount it ontop of your irons.
JMHO, YMMV.
