 Flash suppressors ????

I have a question for pistol and SBR builders about flash suppressors. I just last night finished a 10.5 inch pistol build and took it out on my range after dark for a function test then planned on sighting it in today during day light. Well it functioned flawless BUT after the first shot I couldn't see for a few minutes. I meen it was like a flame thrower. QUESTION- With a pistol barrel of this size does anyone make an effective flash hider that would kill at least a big part of this flash?? I am very familiar with as in what works and what dont as far as breaks go, but this flash is just terrible. Who makes one from your experiences that works?? I dont care what it looks like as long as it is effective. Any Ideas from the guys that run these shorter barrels in pistol or SBR form would be greatly appreciated....Thanks.

The Phantom works pretty well on a pistol. I had this on my 7.5 inch pistol and it seemed to do pretty well on flash (I shot it at dusk, not in the dark) but then for kicks and giggles I switched to the KX3 but I have not shot it in low light situations so cannot comment on how much they kill flash. I have heard the KX3 comes in both ways, a flame thrower (fire breathing pig) and totally hides it. I don't have a clue which is correct.

Well I have a couple Phantoms on my 2 AK pistols and they do a really good job I've just never tried one on an AF and this is my first pistol build for an AR so I thought befor I spend (whatever) on a flash suppressor I would try to find out what was going to work because this thing is an unbeleivable flame thrower. Thanks for the input...

There was an article in Small Arms Review a while back that compared several different flash hiders with various barrel lengths and ammo brands. I'll have to look around when I get home and try to find it.
