Gentlemen Need some help in alternative vendors who sell 10 round clips for my new build DPMS LR -308 lower other than DPMS themselves???? Thanks for any info!

Most of us find it very hard to help someone that has allowed the uninformed and media dictate what parts are called.
Please don't ever say a "Clip" when you mean "Magazine", they are not, and never will be the same thing.
PMAGS (as in a Magpul Polymer
Magazine) is a very good option for an LR308
who cares if he said clip. Hell, every time kids saw uzis or macs on 80s shows like miami vice etc, they referenced the mags as clips. Panties are on way too tight people.
I call it mag but if op says clip, do you not know what he's referencing?
has nothing to do with panties has everything to do with PROPER nomenclature and English.
Magazines load from the bottom through a magazine well, clips load from the top through the action into a magazine well, normally in 5 or 10 round strippers into a weapon like a 1912 Steyr-Hahn or a British Enfield in .303, or an 8 round enbloc clip like the one pictured for the Garand.

There are 308 clips, stripper clips mind you, they were used in rifles like the M14 to speed load its magazine.
The rifle even had a built in clip slot on the receiver.
Or you could round up some 1903 clips and use them to load with since the 30-06/308 head is the same diameter.

disagree, original pistol caliber magazines were commonly referred to as clips to include military training. In ww2, stick mags were commonly referred to clips by the army.
Nevermind
There are three levels of guys. The first level of guys use the wrong terminology, simply because they don't know better. Then when the Level 1 guys get it figured out, they move to Level 2 which is the most annoying level of gun enthusiast. That's where they enjoy correcting all the Level 1 guys. Then the Level 2 guys eventually get old enough to not care anymore, and move to Level 3. That's where they know what the hell you're talking about, even when you use the wrong terminology, and don't give a rats ass either way.

And then there's the 4th level which is level 3 + enjoying getting some expected shock value by posting what's expected and the posts that ensue afterwards.
There is nothing wrong with tight panties, if you are into that. Baggy knickers are not the most attractive.
However there is this:

Fail
Not a clip but a Enbloc.

+1
I'm a level 5 guy then..... I see stupid and I mean to correct it
Sorry, but you fail.
an enbloc is a type of clip, just like there are full moon and half moon clips for revolvers, as well as various styles of stripper or charger style clips.

How can Remington be wrong?
Brad
Don't hate.
Magpul just announced their new line of M1 clips,
the "P-Clip"

Look at all the flavors.

HAHAHA.....well played and very correct.
op...you find those clips yet?
Thank you gentlemen for the purchase locations. bought a few"magazines" from cheap as dirt. Sorry I seem to have created a firestorm with my english language vernacular mistake. I will try to remember that I have been wrong calling a magazine a "clip" for 40 years. But the fallout and back and forth battle was absolutely amusing as hell. I just love this site.

It's what we do best.

Here is a modified PMAG I made for shooting on the bench....
Took a regular PMAG and cut it down with miter saw....the issue is attaching the floor plate to the mag.....I glued mine to the base with JBWeld, some people I have seen pin or use small screws....
Took me all of 15 minutes
Glad to help.....what ever you called the BRD (Bullet Retention Device)
Thank you so much Mr. 77Bronc. A very clever and cool idea in modification of your BRD. How did you accommodate the spring length issue? Maybe you could make these mods, and market them to the California crowd. We have horribly restrictive laws but a large shooting population.

The modified spring length is basically a ratio, I took the length of the magazine, and the length I am cutting off and removed that same ratio off the spring minus 1 loop....
Explain: If I removed 25% of the mag length, I measured 25% of the free spring length, if that equals 4 coils, I removed 3, for a little extra tension when compressed. In summary, the magazine I have in the photos, you can judge the length difference, will hold 11, maybe 12 rounds of .308....IIRC, I removed four coils....
Mixed the JBWeld and applied to the inner lip of the floor plate and slid on the magazine...AND HERE IS THE IMPORTANT STEP: Have a bar clamp like you use for woodworking very close and while you are holding the assembly together with one hand, slip the clamp over the magazine, end to end, and clamp....if you do not do this, you will launch the spring, follower and floor plate, JBWeld and all, across the room.
Once the set up is glued it is now that way for good...if you are into mag maintenance, this modification is not one you will be taking apart, but for $15, if it breaks or what ever, toss and start over.
Let the set up dry for 24 hours. But before you set aside to dry, wipe the excess JBW away with a rag, I do not like sloppy glue residue, looks bad
I was doing this with the 30 round 5.56 PMAGS before they came out with the 20 round mags....These are modified the same way, glued floor plate, and have thousands of rounds through them and not one issue. The magazine is as solid as the day I modified them.
It functions great, feeds good, never an issue. Would like to do this and sell, but I can imagine the legal and gun law issues that I would deal with.
Glad to help....
