You can change your AR into a bunch of different calibers, but the .308 cartridge is too long to fit the mag required for them into the mag well.

Unless you are talking about a singe shot bolt action.

Only two parts required.

Complete upper receiver group

You can change it to 7.62x39mm. Is this what you want?

I think you guys are being over dramatic. The pistol grip can stay right?

Yer all WRONG! Sort of.

MGI was working on a mag well to go on their modular AR15 length lower that would take a 308 magazine. The last I spoke with someone there they had some prototypes made up but they were having bolt problems or something.

That said, the other guys are right, just buy a 308 upper/lower etc. and add a new gun to your lineup.

Sort of.... If you run a Magpul MIAD you need to mod the grip or the reciever to keep the rear takedown spring and detent in place. Other than that, all but, 3 or 4 (if you count the bolt catch since it was modified as well) parts of a standard LRPK can be used, as well as the stock and buffer tube. But everything else is required. But why pull a gun apart to the lose money to build another? I agree, just rebuy everything. If you can find it.
