I want to buy a DPMS LR-308 with A3 upper and 24" stainless fluted barrel. Rguns.nrt has them for $999 on their site, I saw their ad in Shotgun News. Are they a good company to deal with? If not, are their any other companies that sell this that you would suggest?

the rguns folks seem to have reasonable prices. look on their site, and they even have "all nude girls with guns calenders". sorry, but i can't help but like them !!!!

on a somewhat more serious note, at a recent gunshow, in my presence, a friend of mine bought an upper assembled by them, and a dpms complete lower. they were helpful & respectful. they gave him a fair price. we popped it together, and it shot great.

i would buy from them without reservation.

I sent money they sent me a rifle. No really they are a huge supplier of DPMS rifles, they have stuff in stock when no one else can get it.

Thats where I got mine from. Get a Calendar too.

Exact same thing, A3, 24" stanless, fluted. Hard to beat the deal. Spend any extra $$ on a decent trigger.

I ended up changing things a little to a med weight 18" and ace stock, but upgrades a half the fun.

Weird second thread about them, Rguns is a pia if you have any problems. He was constantly getting into fights before he was thrown off this site. He's also a convicted felon (I guess the store is in the wife's name)

I guess I am kind of confused.
Just joined this site to learn more about ARs before purchasing one.

Anyway, what is the difference between a DPMS LR308, in the box, bought from RGuns versus a DPMS LR308, in the box, bought from DPMS?

Other than about $350.00

Thanks
Hank

You may want to check with DPMS to see what kind of wait you'd have ordering from them.

last I heard they had quite a wait for the 308 rifles, so you're probably better buying from a dealer who has one in stock.

Rguns has had issues in the past, but I got a 308 AP4 from them and had no problems.
