UBR stock woes. . . . . help a brother out
So I got my UBR stock from PK firearms Thursday of last week and installed it the same day. The stock is VERY solid and fit and finish is great the only complaint I have is the QD sockets on the side are supposed to be able to be moved to the left or right to accommodate left and right handed shooters, I removed the bolt from the socket and attempted to move to the other side (as it comes on the left side for right handed shooters) after using a punch and a small hammer to get the socket out, it was pressed in, I found it next to impossible to get it in the right side. I tried beating the crap out of it but I was afraid of breaking something and couldn't get it in deep enough to be able to use the screw to press it the rest of the way in. Any suggestions on getting it in? I'd love to hear from people that have the stock and moved the sockets themselves.

ETA: pic of lower just to show some some MEGA love

Mine was tough, but it did go in
I ended up just putting a QD swivel in it and used that to get a little extra leverage. Took a little muscle but did come out.
Edit: Reading comprehension fail. Thought you were trying to get it out, not put it back in. Mine wasn't terribly hard to get back in so I don't have a whole lot of advice. Maybe just bevel the edge a bit, place a wood block over it and beat it in?
I'll probably just try to beat it in some more, thanks guys

that's what he said?
Be careful tho, support the stock so you dont damage it!
You might post this in the
magpul section to see if they have any tips
That's what I use - I like it much better than the stock USB cups.

I was hopeful they'd work on an M93, but alas no.
I do have a UBR as well, maybe I'll pick one up after I finish my 300BLK upper...
Try freezing the socket, works well for pressing bearings into hubs, etc
To prevent this issue, I got the PRe-Production model that came with sling mounts on BOTH sides,

That's a good idea, I'll give it a shot

Beat on it with the knowledge that we will fix it for you if you damage anything.

This answers the question of "Why do you like Magpul over other stocks?" as well as the durability. For me and my money, it can't be spent on a better product.
