i just bought a "12 larue rail off the EE im not sure if it has the instuctions with it. is there any special tools you need other then what you usually use too install a FF rail. also will shaving down a FSB work for the gas block.
You will need a strap wrench to tighten the nut. Not sure what kind of vise block you have but I had to modify my brownells vise block to clear the anti rotation "clips". Other than that your good to go. You'll like the LaRue rails!!!

For shaving the gas block here's the instructions at the Build It Yourself forum tacked thread, there's also insturctions there on how to install a LaRue rails.

Good luck on your project and take your time, I installed my LT 9.0 rails on my midlength carbine without any problems, I used a clam shell type action block with an internal plug that goes inside the upper, a YHM forearm wrench, and a Craftsman rubber strap wrench.
With the FSB I used a FSB cradle tool (delrin material), large and small punch, and a small/ medium size sledge hammer, you could also make your own cradle tool block from wood, add groves on it plus holes for the FSB pins to go through it.
