Hi all.
First post and I am looking for some info/ help with an upcoming purchase. I have a 1993 Colt Sporter Match HBAR and I am planning on buying a 300BLK upper. The lower has the screw pin front and the colt block.
Am I correct in assuming that I should either use the current BCG or purchase a semi-BCG so that the block interference wont be an issue?
My front pin is a .025 So unless I missed something there shouldnt be an issue there.
Also ... any help in directing me as to who I can get to build the 300 BLK to a mock dissy w/ free float tube?
I am hoping to keep it under $500 w/o BGC & CH.
Thx much.

Welcome.
I would get a new BCG so that it mates with the new barrel. Conventional wisdom says that using an old bolt with a new barrel may cause headspace problems. I'm not familiar with the "Colt block." My 1999 Colt Match HBAR lower works just fine with my newly-built 300 BLK upper using a new BCG.
