Looking to do my first AR build and was wondering if anyone has experience with this lower. Quality, fit, finish, pros and cons etc..

Spikes ST-15 Lower

I like the integrated trigger guard on it and it looks good too!

Already have a piston AR but was interest in getting a DI one.

You can do just as good for much cheaper but Spike's is GTG...

I just bought one myself. I've heard very good things.

Now if my damn FID address change would get approved (its been over a month) I could actually put it together....

Or you can save $120 and get a Tactical Innovations Billet Lower.

Thanks!, Now I need to see if there is an issue with owning a lower with full auto markings on the selectior in a non full auto state.

Doubt that would be an issue as long as it's semi auto. Markings are just markings.

Wow. Really like that TI billet lower. Been thinking of getting a billet lower for some time now. The ARF store is sold out. May have to get the TI one. A local shop carries their stuff, may swing in and see if they have any.

GTG. I like the Mega lowers myself and Rainier has some sales on them pretty regularly. I got a billet upper/lower set for around $400 if I remember right a year ago. Either way you will like. Doesnt do anything better than a forged though except look cool.

If i was going to spend that amount if cash, i would get the Noveske N4 Chainsaw grade lower. But get whatever you like. Good luck

agree, spikes is overpriced vs similar or same makers and I can't figure out why other than the name and ascetics.

For that price, I'd go look at Seekins....

+1..seekins is a little bit different looking than the other billets and it looks great with the sun devil slick side upper.

I just built an AR using that Spike's lower and married it up to a Larue Stealth Upper, nice quality all around but a bit pricey!
