Does anyone have a Full length Free Float tube (Tactical Hanguard) on a 14.5" barrel setup? I really like the 14.5 Midlength Setup BravoCompany has, but they use 12" handguards.....I really like how theres very little barrel showing.....I believe I saw a picture of a 14.5 or 16" with a longer handguard 13.5? im not sure how long a rifle hanguard actually is......But I liked the way it looked....

Like I said I hate alot of barrel showing, just personal preference.....But, is there any drawback to it? I cant see there being any.

But anyway, If anyones running run id like to hear how you like it, and maybe a pic. or two?

Only drawback would be a little extra weight.

^thats a nice looking rifle

There's no drawback other than weight. Recently i've become a fan of the trx-e/vtac rails. I'm also interested in the new noveske rail. I have really long arms so i could touch the end of the barrel if i want to so it helps to have room for my arms.

Those are the INFORCE WML lights. Nice low profile and light weight weapons light.

Are any of you running Lightweight barrels? (for weight)

I mean its obviously not going to be a MG so I see not problem with a LW....But I think I can get an M4 contoured barrel alittle bit cheaper....Is there going to be much difference running an M4 contour instead of a LW under a rail?

Here's my 13" Troy/VTAC Alpha rail with my Spike's (FN) 14.5" barrel.

The Spike's barrel is between a lightweight and regular profile. They call it "optimum", and I'd tend to agree.

Would it be possible to just.....Saw the front sight block down, ......or off? to fit under a rail? I know this sounds super bubba....but If i get a barrel w/o a low gas block....can i just modify the one on the barrel with the front sight?

I mean I know I can cut it off, or down, but will it fit under the TROY ALPHA rail?

Looks nice. Stupid question, but what's the thinking behind having the longest possible handguard, does it help to protect the barrel in some way? Longest sight radius is one obvious benefit but it's only useful with iron sights.

I have always thought the handguard should be long enough to cover the gas block, and no longer, but these configurations above look nice.

Is that anodizing or or is it factory?

I was the 1st early last month.. you really need some type of Linear Comp.. Troy/Levang/KIES

I used a Spikes 14.5" Carbine barrel under a Troy/VTAC Alpha 15" with KIES Comp/Brake..

The weight is 13.2 oz for the rail.. if you go with a lightweight barrel you'd end up 4oz. (or so) lighter than my build..

awesome to see thanks for sharing. I think I like the little bit of barrel showing as opposed to this look but really glad to see what it looks like.
