New pic request: your AR wearing a TRX/VTRX-E

A lot of pic threads out there, and I mentioned in one that the Troy TRX and VTRX-E forearms are becoming a personal favorite. I have no use for all the rail space and if I need it, I can put a rail section there. Nice slim front end, fairly light weight, looks good, etc...So if you've built your AR using one let's see it! I'll add a pic as soon as I have one...

Damn you all. You just hurt my wallet with those pictures. I hope you gentlemen will aid me in my legal fees because my wife is going to divorce me when she sees the credit card bill

ETA: It appears that I will have two options for installing a 13" on my 16" barrel. Cut down my a2 stock while on the barrel, or remove the barrel from the upper so I can slide the a2 sight off and install a low profile gas block. Damn fixed muzzle brake.

I really like the look of the 16"/15" setup there. Almost wishing I would have gone that route, but I have most of the pieces together for my next build, including a 16" barrel with 13" VTRX-E. Didn't go with the FDE rail since I'm going to give the gun a healthy dose of Krylon once I knock it together. Either way these setups look really good.

Another place holder, as I have one of these on the way back from Gemtech, who installed a Vortex G5 mount.

I've been questioning whether or not that exact set up would work without extending over the FH a bit. Glad it does, I'll be switching soon.

Since you have a pinned muzzle brake, easiest thing for you would be to cut down the front sight and use an Alpha rail. Otherwise, you'd have to remove everything anyway, because the TRX-E doesn't use the stock barrel nut.

Be sure to speak with Gemtech first...they work a little magic so it's perfect.

Friend of mine builds cans with one piece baffle stacks that are quieter than the major builders, and does so a lot cheaper than they do. If his standard mount and can won't fit on, he'll either be able to build one that will, or trim the rail just a tad and refinish it to make it work.

A GPS and a lens pen. I use this rifle to hunt with so it is nice to be able to mark locations and not have to dig for a GPS in my pocket.

Thanks. I have quite a few GPS units but the convenience of having a little one on your stock is nice.

I think I've seen this asked a great many times but search doesn't turn up much. Perhaps it was at "another" site.

I just installed one and can't get it to match the upper's rail IF I install it and turn it until the stop-stud touches the receiver which I assume it should.

Am I incorrect in this and that's just there to prevent it from REALLY going to far?

I did tighten the bottom screws but didn't get too nuts, will tightening those bring it into alignment?

Any help would be most appreciated.

Thanks for the words guys. The finish job is Multicam hydrodip by Cliff Card at Joint Force Enterprises, he's recently also been endorsed by Chris Costa so I think he's going to be a busy guy for a while. The finish is extremely durable and I've been using it for about two months now and it's seen roughly 1500 rounds with oil, dirt, and suppressor shit all over it and it continues to look great.

Picture of Costa's stick also done by Cliff Card in Multicam.

How much does that cost? I have to admit I want it badly.

Funny in the first pic it looked like a bigger gun. Have to look that lower up.
