Whats the scoop on how these compare to say Mega or Daniel Defense in quality?

Better? Worse? Same?

i like the color options... and i assume your talking about the billet ones and not the forged ones.

i just got a forged lower from them to complete my build in clear anodize... it is beautiful in finish. the only fit issue was it appears the mag release button well was a bit tight and i had to grind down the button a bit to make it fit inside completely. was easy enough to do and you don't notice it now that it is in there.. but it was a tiny bit disconcerting at the time.

also.. nail those guys down to the ground on when exactly they will ship it out and everything. they were a tiny bit shady with me in shipping dates and such.

but they really make a beautiful product as far as looks go.

Mega is a known reputable manufacturer and they consistently put out a solid product in fit and finish. so its hard to go wrong with them.

Its really an apples and oranges question.

If i was going to use a billet set i would probably go with SI Defense again just because of the color options and that 9 o'clock rail they put on there.. its different.

here is a better picture that they sent me of their lower.. this is forged clear anodized with a fail zero coated upper

There have been issues on here about their uppers fitting on non si defense lowers AND their lowers accepting non si defense uppers.

My SI Defense lower fits my Fail Zero upper perfectly. its a solid fit.. not too tight not too loose.

I got my upper directly from Fail Zero... did not purchase it from SI Defense... even though SI Defense carries them it was cheaper to purchase it from Fail Zero directly.

Do you recall the thread that you read the issues from? Any idea on the brands of uppers/lowers that were having fitment problems?

Also were the issues with the forged ones or the billet?
