Hey, this is my first AR build and I have just completed it. I had a stripped spikes lower and ordered a complete stag 3h upper (post ban) with the diamondhead versa rail added.
Question is about having slight radial movement on the handguard and handguard slip ring with the upper. It can go from totally inline with the rail on the upper reciever to maybe a 1/16" or so off. Gasblock doesnt move and barrel seems fine. Is this normal? Anything to be concerned about?

on a standard upper yes its normal, if its free floated it shouldn't move at all. Though the current plastic handguards I have are rock solid on my upper, go figure.
