Shot a friends standard M&P15. Good gun, surprisingly accurate. Trigger was a bit grainy, but it may have just been because hadn't cleaned his gun in awhile. Also, I'm not big on quad rails, but if it works for you, than more power to ya!

Was my first AR, overall pretty happy but hated the trigger. Did not seem to have a consistent reset or smooth pull.

I've had a S&W M&P15PSX for a few years now and have had zero problems with it.

I am another happy S&W AR owner. 3 years, a couple of thousand rounds with no issues. Mine shoots food ammo 1.5MOA. Not bad for chrome lined.

Good choice.

I have an FT version here in NY, and it has been awesome. Thousands of rounds down range. No complaints what so ever. Quality, craftsmanship, and a straight shooter. Great gun.

I've got an M&P 15 OR. It has NEVER failed to go bang and I would absolutely trust my life to it.

S&W makes a great rifle.

Which version of the T? The one with Troy sites or MBUS sights? They are good guns but it really depends on how much you got it for whether it's a decent deal or not. The T's are often priced high since the look tacticool and you could get a lot better gun for similar money.

Not what the OP was asking. Without him posting what he paid, why even make a comment like that?

CDNN has a sale on the 15T with troy sights for $1099. That is a sweet deal. I had one about six years ago and it was fantastic. I sold it for a piston gun, but it was well built.

I have the older FT version that came with the Troy rail and Troy flip ups. I got it a couple years ago for $1,400. Thats kinda high, but I liked it, so I bought it.

held one at Cabelas, seemed built pretty solid, also a friend has an M&P15 as well for hunting, does the job for him, i'd say its an affordable GTG rifle, also have seen a few folks here take the lower and build off it.

I had a 15T as my first AR. I really liked mine. I had zero problems with mine over the course of about two years and about 2k rounds.
